Finishing Phase One!

MAJOR developments this week! Jonas finished up his portion of this shed endeavor. I say Jonas and not “we,” because after one day of helping put the floors in (that’s right, my shed has a FLOOR now), I hurt my neck and shoulder really badly. Moving into a new house and also renovating a shed during the same week can take a toll on a person!

So I was pretty much useless for the rest of the week. All I got to do was hang out with a heating pad and take photos of the progress…and also distract Jonas from finishing his work, because I don’t do a very good job of taking it easy, even when I’m injured.

Look at that sturdy floor! (feat. Chris’s feet)

The next major development was WINDOWS!! Since I wasn’t any good for doing actual work, I went out to Lowe’s and the Habitat for Humanity Restore (possibly my new favorite place in the WORLD) to pick out some windows.

THAT’S A WINDOW!!!!!!!!!!

Old windows, new windows!

Old windows, new windows!

New windows, old wall!

New windows, old wall!

That’s curtains on Jonas! (except for all the times that I am inevitably going to call him with questions about how to do stuff)

Happy T with WINDOWS!

Jonas finished up with all the new framing of the windows (this shed can never have too much extra stability) and put in the windows, and if it had been safe to do so (social distancing!) I would’ve hugged him! Before he went home, he gave me some homework to do once my injury gets better, including replacing the old shingles around the windows and fixing the door hinges…so THAT’S something to look forward to!

Anyway, here’s a picture of Oscar laying down on a pile of shingles.
